Welcome to Wentworth IEEE website!

Fall 2014 General Body Meeting: TBD

Wentworth's Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a student branch of the international IEEE organization. Our club welcomes anyone no matter their major. WIT IEEE is a gathering of those who are interested in collaborating their ideas about electrical and electronics with like minded students. Every academic year, we have events and projects planned for our members as well as tours to nearby companies that pertain to IEEE. Some of the companies that our club has toured are SPIRE Corp, Draper, and RMD. Some of our projects include teaching our members the basics of robotics using NXT robotics kits, programming autonomous robots, aerial vehicles (quadcopter), Vex U Robotics, Bicycle Powered Alternator, Minty Boost (Battery Charger), Hexapod, Micro-mouse and LED matrix cube. WIT IEEE is always open to new ideas for competitions and projects. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, or ideas.

WIT IEEE VEX U Robotics Team (Fall Semester of 2013) and IEEE members at the VEX U Competition - Toss Up in Worcester, MA on January 10, 2014 at Quinsigamond Community College against Vaughn College of Aeronautic (VCAT), WPI and QCC. The team won the competition with the highest score and was invited to compete in the VEX Robotics World Championship, sponsored by the REC Foundation.

2013 NXT Competition - November 26, 2013

Each year IEEE host their annual NXT competition on campus. About 9 teams among Wentworth IEEE compete against each other at the 2013 NXT competition hosted at 610 Lobby at Wentworth, runned by the IEEE e-board.The NXT competition is usually recommended to freshman or anyone who are interested in robotics programming.
